The ABOS is an organization with the goal of establishing educational and professional standards for orthopaedic residents and surgeons as well as evaluating the qualifications and competence of orthopaedic surgeons.

Among his professional affiliations, Dr. Goodman is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the Georgia Orthopaedic Society, and the Atlanta Orthopaedic Society. 

He holds privileges at Wellstar Spalding Regional Hospital, Piedmont Henry Hospital, Southern Regional Medical Center, Piedmont Fayette Hospital, and Resurgens Fayette Surgery Center.
