The doctor’s acclaimed career in medicine began after she earned her combined medical degree and Doctorate degree from the Chicago Medical School. She completed her residency in general surgery at the University of Chicago Medical Center in 1998, followed by her fellowship in vascular surgery at the Loyola University Medical Center in 2000.
In private practice since July of 2000, Dr. Woloson formed her own corporation in 2004, specializing in all types of vascular surgery including varicose vein treatment. In 2014, she decided to focus primarily on venous disease and formed Northwest Vascular and Vein Specialists.

Voted the top vein doctor by her peers, Dr. Woloson was one of the first vascular surgeons performing minimally invasive vein ablations nearly 20 years ago. As one of the best vein doctors in the Chicago area, she has performed over 10,000 laser ablations. She has always had an expertise in varicose veins and venous disease, with her practice focusing on the newest technologies as they developed. She has been training vein doctors on how to treat varicose veins since 2010, and continues to educate herself on any technological advances in the field.
Vascular surgery is a surgical subspecialty in which diseases of the vascular system, including the arteries, veins, and lymphatic circulation, are managed by medical therapy, minimally-invasive catheter procedures, and surgical reconstruction. A vascular surgeon diagnoses, treats, and manages conditions in the arteries and veins, also called the blood vessels. These specialists treat a range of health problems, from spider and varicose veins to life-threatening aneurysms, and can help patients manage chronic conditions throughout their lives.
