Get to know Neurosurgeon Dr. Michael Scott Turner, who serves patients in Lewisville, Texas.

A board-certified and fellowship-trained neurosurgeon with more than 15 years of experience in the field, Dr. Turner sees patients at his private practice - Comprehensive Neurosurgery - in Lewisville, Texas. He is proficient in the latest minimally invasive surgical techniques for the relief of back and neck pain, and works to improve patient outcomes by using these techniques on patients with degenerative disc disease, spinal tumors and spinal deformity. He is also trained in the treatment of cranial disorders, including brain tumors.

Originally from California where he completed his undergraduate education, he moved to Chicago and graduated with his medical and Doctor of Philosophy degrees from the Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine. He then went on to complete his internship and residency in neurological surgery at the University of Chicago in 2010. After completing a fellowship in spine surgery at the Cedars Sinai Spine Institute Foundation in 2011, he moved to Texas to start his medical practice.

Passionate about his profession, the doctor is board-certified in neurological surgery by the American Board of Neurological Surgery, whose broad aim is to encourage the study, improve the practice, elevate the standards, and advance the science of neurological surgery and thereby serve the cause of public health.
