A seasoned psychiatrist, Dr. Shin has maintained her private practice – Yong Shin MD and Associates, LLC – in the Pottstown area since 1988. She also serves in an Emeritus capacity at the Pottstown Hospital, Tower Health.
Academically, she is a graduate of the Ewha Women’s Medical College in Seoul, Korea, where she also completed her internship, before relocating to the United States and completing an additional internship at Nazareth Hospital in Philadelphia. She then went on to complete two consecutive residencies in psychiatry at Philadelphia General Hospital in 1972, and at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in 1974.
