She then went on to earn her Bachelor of Science degree in Biopsychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 1999, after which she obtained her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2008.
A member of the American Osteopathic Association, the doctor is board-certified in family practice and osteopathic manipulative medicine by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians (ABOFP).
