Dr. Dumitrescu, an experienced physiatrist and pain management specialist, is the owner and operator of Precision Regenerative & Functional Medicine in West Lake Hills, Texas. He and his team solve for acute pain while, at the same time, addressing the long-term health imbalances that often develop into more pressing physical symptoms. They offer services such as regenerative spine and sports medicine, functional medicine, as well as health and hormone optimization.

A firm believer that quality of care comes from attention to detail and a combined approach to unlock healing potential, Dr. Dumitrescu aims to re-establish the healthy lifestyle that his patients deserve. Over the past 5 years, his practice became focused on all aspects of regenerative medicine for both peripheral musculoskeletal conditions and spine disorders. 

To advance his professional development, he remains a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the Spine Intervention Society, the Texas Medical Association, and the Age Management Medicine Group.

Born in Romania, Dr. Dumitrescu graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Texas at Austin and attended medical school at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. He went on to complete his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Louisiana State University in New Orleans, followed by his fellowship in interventional spine/pain management under Charles Aprill, MD, at Magnolia Clinic.

In 2007, he founded Precision Pain Consultants in Austin, Texas as a mainly interventional sports and spine clinic. More recently, Precision Pain Consultants added Precision Nutrition Consultants and became Precision Regenerative and Functional Medicine.

The doctor is board-certified in pain medicine and physical medicine & rehabilitation at the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, whose mission is to serve the public by improving the quality of patient care in physical medicine and rehabilitation. This is accomplished through a process of certification and maintenance of certification that fosters excellence and encourages continuous learning.
