Born in Romania, Dr. Dumitrescu graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Texas at Austin and attended medical school at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. He went on to complete his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Louisiana State University in New Orleans, followed by his fellowship in interventional spine/pain management under Charles Aprill, MD, at Magnolia Clinic.
In 2007, he founded Precision Pain Consultants in Austin, Texas as a mainly interventional sports and spine clinic. More recently, Precision Pain Consultants added Precision Nutrition Consultants and became Precision Regenerative and Functional Medicine.
The doctor is board-certified in pain medicine and physical medicine & rehabilitation at the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, whose mission is to serve the public by improving the quality of patient care in physical medicine and rehabilitation.
