Get to know Psychiatrist Dr. Harkirat Saggu, who serves patients in Granite Bay, California.

Dr. Saggu, a licensed psychiatrist, is the President at Horizon Psychiatry Associates in Granite Bay, California. 

Since 2018, he has been providing mental health services, substance use treatment, and residential treatment.

Educated in India, Dr. Saggu graduated with his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery degree from Government Medical College and Hospital, Chandigarh in 2003. He then relocated to the United States, performing his residency in psychiatry and his fellowship in child & adolescent psychiatry at Detroit Medical Center/Wayne State University in 2009 and 2011, respectively. 

With over two decades of experience, he is board-certified in psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN). The ABPN is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to promoting high quality patient care for the public through the initial and continuing certification of psychiatrists and neurologists.  

In California, Dr. Saggu is affiliated with Crestwood Center, Woodland Memorial Hospital, Oroville Hospital, and Ampla Health Yuba City Medical.

Psychiatry is the medical specialty devoted to the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of mental disorders. These include various maladaptations related to mood, behavior, cognition, and perceptions. Psychiatrists evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders.
