With years of experience, she is board-certified in infectious disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

A Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP), Dr. Hirsh is a member of the Infectious Diseases Society of America, the Infectious Diseases Society of New Jersey, the Institutional Review Board at Somerset Medical Center, and the P&T Committee Medical Center of Princeton.

Infectious disease is a medical specialty dealing with prevention, the diagnosis, and treatment of infections. An infectious disease specialist’s practice also consists of managing nosocomial (hospital-acquired) infections.
