Get to know Internist Dr. Karolina Mikos, who serves patients in Chicago, Illinois.

An educated internist, Dr. Mikos practices at Northshore Healing Centre, LLC in Chicago, Illinois as an Integrative Medicine physician. She has over 7 years of experience in Western Medicine with all facets of healing, including nutrition, stress reduction, herbal support, mind-body medicine, and intuitive healing. 

By guiding the patient to tune in to their own health, Dr. Mikos provides individualized care focused on discovering the root cause of disease, as well as on preventative medicine for long-lasting vital health.

It offers programs and treatments designed to prevent illness as well as aid in healing from life-threatening diseases, degenerative conditions, chronic disabilities, and specific health challenges.

Dr. Mikos earned her medical degree from Poznan University of Medical Sciences in Poznan, Poland, and completed her residency in internal medicine at The Mount Sinai Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. Thereafter, she traveled all over the United States as a Locum Tenens physician, providing Hospitalist coverage in rural as well as urban areas, including hospitals in Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, Wisconsin, California and Hawaii.

Dr. Mikos underwent extensive training on Cannabis Therapeutics, and provides counseling and education on the benefits and safe medical consumption of medical marijuana, along with assistance in obtaining a Medical Marijuana Card in the State of Illinois.

Passionate about her profession, Dr. Mikos is board certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

Internal medicine is the medical specialty dealing with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of adult diseases. Physicians specializing in internal medicine are called internists. They manage and prevent common and complex diseases by providing comprehensive care and promoting overall well-being.

Speaking several languages, Dr. Mikos is fluent in English, Polish, Italian, and Spanish.
