With a broad educational background, Dr. Upadhyaya graduated with his medical degree from Shri M P Shah Government Medical College in India in 1977. Upon relocating to the United states, he completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at Jersey City Medical Center in 1987 and 1990, respectively. Years later, in 1994, he completed his fellowship in cardiovascular disease at Mount Sinai/Miami Heart Institute.
Among the doctor’s most notable achievements, he is the recipient of Patients’ Choice Award (2014), On-Time Doctor Award (2014), and Compassionate Doctor Recognition (2014).
