Dr. Gechter can be found on staff at Broward Health North in Deerfield Beach, Florida. The 409-bed hospital offers a full continuum of care featuring a comprehensive stroke center, an adult level II trauma center, a neurological institute, a joint replacement center, cardiovascular services, as well as general, vascular, endovascular, and neurosurgery. Its mission is “ to provide quality healthcare to the people we serve and support the needs of all physicians and employees.” Dr. Gechter is also on staff at Holy Cross Hospital where he is on call in the emergency room.

A 1975 graduate of the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara in Mexico. This was followed by three years of general surgery College of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and one year at Downstate Medical Center. He then went into Ophthalmology, where he spent three years at Downstate Medical Center being Chief Resident in 1981.
Dr. Gechter is a member of The American Board of Quality Assurance & Utilization Review Physicians, where he obtained fellowship status.
