Back in 1965, Dr. Titel obtained his medical degree from the Pritzker School of Medicine of the University of Chicago in 1965. He then went on to complete his residencies in general surgery and anesthesiology at the University of Chicago Hospitals. 

Following his education, the doctor became board-certified in anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiology, whose mission is to advance the highest standards of the practice of anesthesiology.

Among his professional affiliations, he is a member of the North Carolina Medical Society, the American Medical Association, the American Society of Anesthesiologists, and the American College for Advancement in Medicine.

In addition to basic measurements such as pulse, blood pressure, and temperature, anesthesiologists also measure the patient’s respiration.
