Get to know Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. John B. Cazale, who serves patients throughout the State of Louisiana.

Dr. Cazale is a seasoned orthopedic surgeon with over 40 years of experience in the field. He is currently a partner at Crescent City Orthopedics in Louisiana, where he has been providing expert orthopedic care to patients since 1981. This, coupled with his personable approach to patient care, have made him an invaluable asset to the team. It has allowed him to present patients with a greater variety of treatment options.

Crescent City Orthopedics, located in Metairie and Covington, Louisiana, is perfectly positioned to serve patients in the greater New Orleans region. The team of five surgeons is made up of Louisiana natives who are passionate about helping their patients move past injury and enjoy a fulfilling life. Each one takes time with his patients to ensure that he can thoroughly evaluate the extent of the injury to find an effective treatment method.

Academically, Dr. Cazale began his medical journey by obtaining his medical degree from LSU Medical School in New Orleans, where he participated in an internship at Charity Hospital. He then joined the US Army, before completing his training with a residency at the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Tulane University Medical School. He later returned to Tulane as chairman of several orthopedic departments.

With an unwavering commitment to his specialty, the doctor is board-certified in orthopedic surgery and by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery (ABOS). The ABOS is an organization with the goal of establishing educational and professional standards for orthopedic residents and surgeons as well as evaluating the qualifications and competence of orthopedic surgeons.

Orthopedic surgery is the branch of surgery concerned with conditions involving the musculoskeletal system. Orthopedic surgeons use both surgical and non-surgical means to treat musculoskeletal trauma, spine diseases, sports injuries, degenerative diseases, infections, tumors, and congenital disorders.

An authority in his field, Dr. Cazale has been the recipient of the Patients’ Choice Award (2016), and Compassionate Doctor Recognition (2016, 2015).
