How long does vein ablation take to heal?
I'm not sure what you mean by “heal.” The puncture site will close in about 48 hours. The saphenous vein is closed immediately. Inflammatory changes in the vein can cause pain for up to 3 weeks for a radio frequency ablation, and longer for a laser ablation. It takes about 4 weeks for associated varicose veins to resolve. Can radiologists treat varicose veins?
