Dedicated to providing the best personal and professional dental care, Dr. Murphy-Brown works alongside her associate Dr. Stephen H. Hayden at their dental practice in West Bloomfield, Michigan. Providing dental services for the entire family, from the young to the young at heart, the dentist-duo offers comprehensive treatment planning and uses restorative and cosmetic dentistry to achieve optimal dental health and enhance the natural beauty of a smile. Their goal is to provide each patient with the highest standard of dental care while maintaining a relaxing and friendly environment for all who enter their doors. 

Back in 2002, Dr. Murphy-Brown earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Albion College in Michigan, where she played volleyball for four years. In 2006, she earned her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts.

Following graduation, she joined a general dentistry practice in the greater Boston area as an associate. She was awarded Top Associate in 2007 and Associate of the Year in 2008 and was asked to become a partner. In addition to starting a new practice in South Boston, she enjoyed teaching third and fourth-year dental students on the clinic floor at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. In 2009, she decided to return home to Michigan to be closer to family. She practiced as an associate dentist in the Troy area before opening her own practice in 2010. 

That same year, Dr. Murphy-Brown completed the Synergy Training Program for Implant Dentistry. She attends several continuing education programs and conferences throughout the year, including an implant study club. She believes that the key to a successful doctor-patient relationship is built upon proper dental education, communication, and trust. 

To achieve the esthetic and functional results necessary for a happy and healthy smile, she remains a member of several dental professional organizations, including the American Dental Association, the Michigan Dental Association, the Oakland County Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry.

Having always had a desire to push further and compete with herself, Dr. Murphy-Brown attributes her success to her parents and grandparents who instilled a strong work ethic into her life at a young age. She has a strong support system in her family, friends, and especially her loyal and dedicated team at the office.

Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. Dentists diagnose and treat dental issues and help patients develop better oral hygiene regimens. They clean teeth, correct bite issues, perform surgeries and extractions, and perform other duties to ensure that the teeth and mouth are healthy. 

Recognized for her accomplishments in the field of dentistry, Dr. Murphy-Brown is the recipient of numerous awards and honors, including the Eleanor J. Bushee Senior Student Award for Academic Excellence and Outstanding Leadership (2006), Top Associate for Gentle Dental of MA (2007), Associate of the Year for Gentle Dental of MA (2008),  Top Gun Dentist for Great Expressions of Michigan (2010), HOUR Top Dentist, and Best of West Bloomfield for Cosmetic Dentistry (2019).

Growing up in Port Huron, Michigan, she now lives in Lake Orion with her husband and their three children. In her free time, she enjoys water skiing, downhill skiing, photography, traveling, and enjoying her time with family and friends.
