Graduating with her medical degree from the 7-year medical program at Brooklyn College/SUNY Downstate, Dr. Schwartz completed her residency at The Brookdale Hospital University and Medical Center, and her fellowship at Long Island Jewish Medical Center.

Distinguished as a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP), and Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians (FCCP), Dr. Schwartz is board-certified in pulmonary disease and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care. Dr. Schwartz has also practiced Critical Care Medicine for over 30 years in addition to Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine.
