    Hi, you can help reduce foot problems, issue by wearing supportive good shoes always, keep feet dry and clean, change out socks if working for long period of hours in one day, and follow up with your Podiatrist every 6 months for check up. READ MORE

    Hi, Not sure if they would help, but you should ice and massage bottom of your feet heel area with frozen water bottle, and wear supportive shoes. Stretching the achilles tendon as well as the plantar fascia will help with the pain. Custom orthotics are another way to help with this matter to reoccur.     Hi, you don't necessary need surgery first for heel pain, physical therapy, icing, stretching, and there is injections also. Sometimes due to diabetes the nerve pain can become worse DM neuropathy or if there is any herniated discs in the lower back area. If all fails then you can look into possible having surgery, but that might not help either, depending on if its pain due to neuropathy from diabetes or lower back disc herniations. Hope this helps. Regarding his educational background, Dr. Trezia began his medical education at California State University Northridge, receiving his Bachelor of Arts degree, and continued to Samuel Merritt University where he earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree. He then completed his residency in New York at NYC Health + Hospitals/Coney Island associated with the Health & Hospital Group. 

As chief resident in his senior year, he had the privilege of working with a variety of specialties including orthopedics, plastic surgery, dermatology and pediatrics. He was also involved in research studies which collaborated with different departments in multiple hospitals in the state of New York to help advance future treatments in medicine.

As a Diplomate of the American Board of Podiatric Medicine, Dr. Trezia keeps up to date with the most recent state-of-the-art technology and treatment options in his field by remaining a member of many medical organizations.
