Get to know Obstetrician-Gynecologist Dr. Bryna Peplinski, who serves patients in Lakeland, Florida.

A prominent obstetrician-gynecologist, Dr. Peplinski sees patients at the Carol Jenkins Barnett Pavilion for Women and Children within Lakeland Regional Health Medical Center. She has a special interest in female preventative care practices.  She provides well woman exams, pap smears and colposcopy; minimally invasive gynecologic surgeries, as well as general and high-risk obstetrics.

“I am proud to come from a family of medical professionals. My father was a physician and two of my sisters are physicians as well. As an OB/GYN, I can have a positive effect on every stage of a woman’s life. I treat all of my patients as if they are my family members. I enjoy the diversity of working with patients of all backgrounds, ethnicities, and ages” expressed the doctor.

Pertaining to her educational background, Dr. Peplinski earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Kansas City University College of Osteopathic Medicine, and completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Ascension Macomb-Oakland Hospital.

Subsequent to her education, Dr. Peplinski attained board certification in obstetrics and gynecology through the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG), which is an organization that provides board certification to qualified physicians who specialize in the care of the female reproductive tract and children during the course of pregnancy, childbirth, and the postnatal period (obstetricians) and to qualified physicians who specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the female reproductive tract (gynecologists).  She is also a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG).

Obstetrics and gynecology (OB-GYN) is the medical specialty that encompasses the two subspecialties of obstetrics (covering pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period) and gynecology (covering the health of the female reproductive system – vagina, uterus, ovaries, and breasts).

On a more personal note, she enjoys spending time with my fiancé, Dr. Mike Taylor, who is also an employed physician at Lakeland Regional Health. She also enjoys cooking and trying new restaurants. Having played collegiate soccer, she likes watching all types of sports and is a big Green Bay Packers fan.
