Dr. Salimi is a board-certified pediatric dentist in private practice – Pediatric Dentistry San Francisco Salma Salimi DDS – in California. Since 1992, she has been dedicated to providing the highest quality of dental care in the most gentle, positive, and enthusiastic manner possible.

With an emphasis on prevention, she strives to help children develop and enjoy a lifetime of excellent oral/dental health. To ensure the best possible experience for each child, she has created a bright, colorful, and friendly office designed to suit her/his needs and interests.

Dr. Salimi and her staff also visit preschools several times a year. These fun-filled visits and presentations are informative and interactive. They include visual aids such as videos, puppet shows, games, and demonstrations on good brushing and flossing habits, as well as actual examples of healthy snacks and drinks.

Throughout her academic career, Dr. Salimi obtained her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of California Los Angeles School of Dentistry in 1990. She then went on to complete her residency in pediatric dentistry at said establishment in 1992. 

A Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, she is an active member of the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and the California Society of Pediatric Dentistry. She is also a Past-President of the San Francisco Dental Society.

For her efforts in the community, Dr. Salimi has received several awards and honors, including the American Society of Dentistry for Children Award of Merit for Excellence in Pediatric Dentistry. She has been an Assistant Clinical Professor at the UCLA and UCSF Departments of Pediatric Dentistry.
