Dr. Shenk is a physiatrist with the Billings Clinic in Billings, MT. She moved to Montana and started with the Billings Clinic in 2005. She specializes in neuro-rehabilitation, and has a strong passion and emphasis in setting up treatment goals and plans for those following severe injury and illness. Dr. Shenk is Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and has her Subspecialty Boards in Brain Injury Medicine. She was the chairman of Rehabilitation Medicine Department for 11 years at the Billings Clinic and she assisted in provider support and medical director services opening up the first rehabilitation hospital in Montana (Rehabilitation Hospital of MT) in August of 2019. Dr. Shenk has been a vital part of the Muscular Dystrophy Clinics in Montana since August of 2006. She helped develop the independent ALS, myotonic muscular dystrophy, and Pediatric interdisciplinary MDA clinics that provide care locally here in Montana. She has provided rehabilitation inpatient consults regularly in the Billings Clinic and at the Advanced Care Hospital of MT (LTACH) during her 16 years at Billings Clinic. She has participated in the Rehabilitation Medicine amputation clinics, stroke clinics, she developed a seating and positioning team at the Billings Clinic during her time as Department Chair, created the initial non-narcotic based therapy driven spine clinic for Billings Clinic in 2010, and currently covers inpatient services at the Rehabilitation Hospital of MT, Billings Clinic, Advanced Care Hospital of Montana, and has an outpatient neuro-rehabilitation and spasticity practice.
