Dr. Ciccolo is a highly trained cardiothoracic surgeon serving as the Director of Congenital Cardiovascular Surgery at Children’s Heart Center Nevada in Winchester, Nevada. He joined Children’s Heart Center in July of 2012 after a 12 year affiliation with Cardiovascular Surgery Associates in Las Vegas.

The Children’s Heart Center Nevada has an array of specialists in fetal cardiology, adults with congenital heart disease, electrophysiology, interventional cardiology, and cardiac surgery. The specialists come from Harvard, Stanford, UCLA, UCSF, and USC. They have created a place where the results for open-heart surgery are better than the national average. The doctor’s acclaimed career in medicine began after he earned his medical degree from the Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine in 1991. He then went on to perform his residency in general surgery at Tucson Medical Center, his residency in cardiothoracic surgery at LAC+USC Medical Center, and his fellowship in congenital cardiothoracic surgery at the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.

A member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons, Dr. Ciccolo is board-certified in thoracic and cardiac surgery & congenital cardiac surgery by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery (ABTS). The ABTS is an American surgical organization devoted to surgery of the chest.
