Invisalign and clear aligners are comparable to traditional wire braces. These newer alternatives are great for the cosmetically conscious patients. Where they make up in cosmetics, they lack in force. They do not have the same tensions and “grip” to correct the more sever cases. Is a dry socket an infection?

Can I drink alcohol after wisdom tooth removal?

Can a toothache make my jaw hurt?
The nerve line running to your lower teeth follows the from around your ear running down the underside of the lower teeth to the front of your mouth. If you have any infections or pain from a tooth it can feel like it’s all of them on the side because it’s all on the same nerve. I would suggest going in to get that offending tooth checked out ASAP. An infection can spread to other teeth as the abscess gets larger. Worst case scenario, it can spread to your brain. How often should dentures be replaced?
If they are fitting correctly and are in good shape, he is good. I typically tell my patients with complete dentures to still come in anually for checkups and to check on the dentures. It would be a good rule of thumb for him. READ MORE
Why are my teeth yellow?
Everyone has a natural shade of yellow to their teeth. If they have always been this way it’s your natural shade. There is nothing wrong with that. If you feel there are yellow spots building on your teeth, that’s a different story. If that is your case you should go get it checked out. His extensive training began when Dr. Gilliam, a decorated Marine Corps veteran, received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University.
He went on to earn his DDS from Howard University College of Dentistry. The College of Dentistry was established in 1881 and is the fifth oldest dental school in the United States. Their mission is to train extraordinary providers to serve their communities, particularly the underserved.
Dr. Giliam is a member of some of the most prestigious organizations in his field including the American Dental Association (ADA), The American Dental Education Association (ADEA), the The Maryland State Dental Association (MSDA) and the National Dentist Association (NDA).
He is committed to continuing education and studying current trends in the field of dentistry so he can always provide his patients with the most advanced technology and procedures.
