Dr. Kiaffas is a highly-trained pediatric cardiologist serving as the Director of Fetal Health at Mercy Children’s Kansas City. Namely, she works within the Heart Center & Fetal Health Center at Adele Hall Campus in Kansas City, Missouri.

A 1988 graduate of the School of Medicine of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in Greece, Dr. Kiaffas relocated to the United States to further her training. She performed her residency in pediatrics at the University of Connecticut Medical Center, her fellowship in cardiac pathology at Boston Children’s Hospital, and her fellowship in pediatric cardiology at the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh.
Following her training, Dr. Kiaffas returned to Greece, her native country, where she worked as an attending physician at the Onassis Cardiac Surgery Center in Athens from 2002 to 2016.
Helping patients maintain a heart-healthy life, she is board-certified in pediatrics and pediatric cardiology by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP). The mission of the ABP is to advance child health by certifying pediatricians who meet standards of excellence and are committed to continuous learning and improvement.
Among her academic appointments, Dr. Kiaffas serves as an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine, and as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Kansas School of Medicine.
