Dr. John P. Duffy, MD, a distinguished hepatobiliary and abdominal transplant surgeon, practices at the prestigious Nazih Zuhdi Transplant Institute (NZTI) at INTEGRIS Health Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. 

Having joined the NZTI team in 2010, Dr. Duffy has been instrumental in performing complex adult and pediatric liver transplant procedures, split liver transplants, and advanced hepatobiliary-pancreatic surgeries. His expertise also extends to adult and pediatric intestinal and multivisceral transplantation, reflecting his comprehensive skill set in the field of transplant surgery.

Prior to joining NZTI, Dr. Duffy served as Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Dumont – UCLA Center for Liver and Pancreas Transplantation in Los Angeles, California, from 2008 to 2010. A native Oklahoman, Dr. Duffy’s journey in the medical field began in Oklahoma City, where he was born and raised. After graduating from Putnam City North High School, he pursued his passion for medicine by obtaining a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English from the University of Oklahoma. Dr. Duffy continued his academic pursuits at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine, where he earned his Doctor of Medicine Degree with special distinction in 1999.

Following his medical education, Dr. Duffy completed his residency training in general surgery at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Medical Center from 1999 to 2006. Certified by the American Board of Surgery, he then underwent specialized training in liver and multi-organ transplantation at UCLA under the mentorship of renowned transplant surgeons Ronald W. Busuttil, M.D., Ph.D., and Douglas G. Farmer, M.D., from 2006 to 2008.
