Pediatric neuroradiologists specialize in the imaging and diagnosis of conditions of the brain and central nervous system in fetuses, infants, children, and adolescents. They also care for older patients who have survived a congenital or childhood condition of the nervous system. Subspecialization allows physicians to acquire a deeper knowledge of their area of focus, thereby increasing the accuracy of study interpretation, reducing the need for repeat studies, and promoting improved outcomes.
