Get to know Bariatric and General Surgeon Dr. Rizwan Chaudhry, who serves the Sugarland and Houston, Texas area at his private practice and several local hospitals. Dr. Chaudhry earned his medical degree at the Saba University School of Medicine. Then, he completed his General Surgery residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He continued his studies by completing a fellowship in Advanced Laparoscopic and Bariatric Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Chaudhry has been board certified by the American Board of Surgery. Previously, Dr. Chaudhry served as the Medical Director of the Weight Loss Institute at the Bay Area Regional Medical Center. After a year into practice, he lead the hospital in earning accreditation for Comprehensive Center for Bariatric Surgery by the American College of Surgeons and the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgeons.
