A native of Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, Dr. Díaz Torruellas graduated from one of the top 15 best universities in the nation, the University of Puerto Rico, as a Magna Cum Laude student. After obtaining her medical degree from the Autonóma de Guadalajara School of Medicine, she returned to Puerto Rico and completed an internship at the Oncology Hospital Dr. Isaac Gonzalez Martinez.
After 2 years working as an emergency room physician in multiple hospital settings, she decided to specialize in internal medicine, and graduated from San Juan City Municipal Hospital. Honorably, Dr. Díaz is a United States Air Force Veteran, former Major, who was recognized with the commendation medal. This was awarded for her accomplishments during her 7 years of service.
Dr. Diaz has been recognized as a Top Hospitalist as well and she is committed to her patients. In RB Wellness Clinic her patients’ health is the number one priority.
