  • How long do you stay in the hospital after varicose vein ablation?

All varicose vein ablations are performed in the office. There is no need for a hospital visit or for hospital stay. I remain available for any additional questions. Alex Westerband MD, FACS READ MORE

  • Does laser surgery for varicose veins hurt?

Thank you for asking me. Laser treatment of varicose veins when used for ablation of incompetent veins doesn't hurt provided that appropriate local anesthesia is administered and a sedative can also be given if necessary. Different is the use of surface laser for treatment of spider veins, a procedure that can be performed using cooling technology and which then causes minimal or no discomfort during the procedure. I hope this answers your question. READ MORE
