Get to know The Anesthesiologist and Pain Management Specialist,  Dr. Ali D. Ibrahim, who serves patients in El Paso, Texas.

As a board-certified physician, Dr. Ibrahim is affiliated with Donya Pain & Primary Care Center and The Hospital of Providence, Transmountain Campus, in El Paso, Texas. His passion for pain medicine is well known to all his peers and colleagues in this field. Specializing in interventional pain management, he focuses on regional techniques and modern procedures to manage and treat acute and chronic pain disorders while minimizing the daily pain medications intake, including Opioids. 

The doctor continuously evolves and brings the latest FDA approved up to date procedures and techniques in interventional pain management to the community. His main goal is to provide the best, newest and safest service to his patients.

Pertaining to his educational pursuits, Dr. Ibrahim graduated with his medical degree and completed his residency in anesthesiology at the Indiana University School of Medicine. Upon completion of his residency, he entered the private world of medicine where he gained additional experience in advanced and modern pain management techniques.

Passionate about his profession, the doctor is board-certified in anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA). As the certifying body for anesthesiologists since 1938, the ABA is committed to partnering with physicians to advance lifelong learning and exceptional patient care. Its mission is to advance the highest standards of the practice of anesthesiology and Pain Medicine. 

Actively and continuously involved in the latest techniques and modalities of pain medicine, his experience in pain medicine is very diverse and extensive. Such experience was received and gained through many years of active practice in anesthesiology and pain medicine and through continuing medical education seminars and educational venues from the Harvard Medical School, the North American Spine Society and many others.

Dr. Ibrahim is the founder of the first Intravenous Ketamine and Lidocaine Infusion therapies for treating and managing chronic severe pain, severe depression and PTSD in El Paso, Texas. He provides up to date knowledge in this specific field. He is a member of the American Society of Ketamine Physicians (ASKP. org).

Dr. Ibrahim is always evolving and trying to find new ways to treat chronic pain without taking the daily pain pills. 

Anesthesiology is the medical specialty concerned with the total perioperative care of patients before, during, and after surgery. It encompasses anesthesia, intensive care medicine, critical emergency medicine, and pain medicine. Anesthesiologists have the primary responsibility of monitoring the patient’s vital signs during surgery. In addition to basic measurements such as pulse, blood pressure, and temperature, they measure the patient’s respiration.
