Prior to his current endeavours, he served as a Fellow of Medical Informatics at the National Library of Medicine, a staff physician with the Nebraska Methodist Health System, the Vice President of General Emergency Medicine Specialists, the Medical Director of the North and West Emergency Departments at Cleveland Clinic Akron General, an Assistant Clinical Professor at Northeast Ohio Medical University, the Chief Medical Informatics Officer at Emergency Medicine Physicians, and as the Chief Medical Informatics Officer at U.S. Acute Care Solutions.

A 1999 graduate of the University of Nebraska Medical Center, Dr. Corbit went on to perform his residency in emergency medicine at Akron General Medical Center in 2002. He also earned his Master’s Certificate in Biomedical Informatics from Oregon Health & Science University in 2010.

A Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians, the doctor is board-certified in emergency medicine by the American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM). The ABEM certifies emergency physicians who meet its educational, professional, and examination standards.

Furthermore, he is board-certified in clinical informatics by the American Board of Preventive Medicine (ABPM). The ABPM is a member of the American Board of Medical Specialties that issues “certificates of special knowledge” in the specialty of preventive medicine.

Licensed to practice medicine in Ohio, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Florida, Dr. Corbit holds certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Emergency Neurological Life Support (ENLS), Advanced Pediatric Life Support (APLS), and Basic Disaster Life Support (BDLS).
