Get to know Neurologist Dr. Hendrik Dinkla, who serves patients in DeLand, Florida.

Specializing in neurology and sleep medicine, Dr. Dinkla sees patients of all ages at AdventHealth Medical Group Neurology at DeLand in Florida. He has more experience with headaches, neuromuscular and movement disorders, and general neurological disorders than other specialists in his area.

The doctor’s acclaimed career in medicine began after he earned his medical degree from the University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine in 1984. He then went on to serve his residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital, followed by his fellowship at Stanford Medical School.

With over three decades of experience in his field, Dr. Dinkla is board-certified in neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN). The ABPN is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to promoting high-quality patient care for the public through the initial and continuing certification of psychiatrists and neurologists. 

Neurology is a branch of medicine dealing with disorders of the nervous system. Neurologists are licensed medical specialists who diagnose and treat disorders that affect the brain, spinal cord, nerves, and muscles of patients. They examine a patient’s mental and physical status, conduct medical tests and scans, and evaluate the results to diagnose and treat the patient.
