Graduating cum laude with his Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from Oakland University in 1981, Dr. Hrecznyj earned his medical degree from the Wayne State University School of Medicine in 1985. He then went on to complete his internship and residency in psychiatry at the same educational venue in 1987, before completing a fellowship in child & adolescent psychiatry at the UPMC Western Psychiatric Hospital in 1990.
As a testament of his continued education, the doctor is board-certified in psychiatry and child & adolescent psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN). The ABPN is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to serving the professions of psychiatry and neurology.
