Get to know Gastroenterologist Dr. Gregory Saltzman, who serves patients in Crestview Hills, Kentucky.

A dedicated gastroenterologist, Dr. Saltzman is affiliated with Tri-State Gastroenterology Associates in Crestview Hills, Kentucky. He specializes in treating conditions such as diarrhea, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), hemorrhoids, acid reflux disease (GERD), Crohn’s disease and more.

Tri-State Gastro is a multi-physician practice located in Northern Kentucky, specializing in gastroenterology. Its mission is “To provide compassionate, high quality, cost-effective care to patients with gastrointestinal related problems.”

Known for his expertise in the field of gastroenterology, Dr. Salzman is affiliated with St. Elizabeth Healthcare (formerly St Elizabeth Medical Centers and the St. Luke Hospitals) and Health South Rehabilitation Hospital. He has served on many committees associated with Tri-State Digestive Disorder Center as well as area hospitals and local communities. In 1994, he served as President of the Medical Staff at St. Elizabeth Medical Center.

Professionally, he is a member of several medical organizations, including the American Gastroenterological Association, the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, the Gastrointestinal Videoendoscopy Association of America, the American College of Gastroenterology, and the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.

Regarding his educational background, Dr. Salzman earned his medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine in 1984. He then went on to complete his internship, residency, and fellowship at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.

Licensed to practice medicine in Kentucky and Indiana, the doctor is board-certified in both internal medicine and gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

Gastroenterology is the branch of medicine focused on the digestive system and its disorders. A gastroenterologist is a physician who has extensive training in the diagnosis and treatment of disorders related to the esophagus, stomach, small intestines, colon, liver, pancreas, and biliary system.

Throughout his four-decade long career, Dr. Salzman has received various awards and honors, including the Compassionate Doctor Recognition Award in 2016. 

A New York native, he was raised in Columbus, Ohio. He and his family currently reside in Northern Kentucky.
