Get to know Family Physician Dr. Jasvendar Singh Nandra, who serves patients in Jersey City, New Jersey.

An established family physician, Dr. Nandra is in practice at Primary Care of Jersey City, an affiliate of Englewood Health. His clinical interests include adult health, adolescent medicine, geriatric medicine, addiction, chronic condition management, health screenings, hospice care, palliative care, urgent care, prevention, and wellness. His aim is to provide innovative treatment options to enhance his patients’ health and wellbeing.

Back in the early days of his academic career, Dr. Nandra received his medical degree from the University of Manchester Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health, in the UK. After relocating to the United States, he completed his residency in family medicine and was Chief Resident at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center–McKeesport Hospital. Later, he completed his fellowship in hospice and palliative care at the University of Miami School of Medicine–Jackson Memorial Hospital.

An active member of the American Medical Association, the doctor is board-certified in family medicine and hospice & palliative medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM). The ABFM is a non-profit, independent medical association of American physicians who practice family medicine and its sub-specialties.

Family medicine is a medical specialty devoted to comprehensive health care for people of all ages. The specialist is called a family physician or family doctor. A family physician is often the first person a patient sees when seeking healthcare services. They examine and treat patients with a wide range of conditions and refer those with serious ailments to a specialist or appropriate facility.
