In the early days of his academic career, he graduated from the esteemed University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. Having completed his residency at St. Anthony Hospital, he honed their skills and knowledge in a rigorous and diverse clinical environment.

An authority in his field, Dr. Kolker is board-certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM). The ABFM is a non-profit, independent medical association of American physicians who practice family medicine and its sub-specialties.

Furthermore, Dr. Kolker has achieved a Certificate of Added Qualification (CAQ) in Hospice of Palliative Medicine, administered by the American Board of Internal Medicine.  This designates Dr. Kolker as an expert in the field of end-of-life care.

He has taught for the University of Oklahoma, Stanford University, and UCLA and currently holds academic titles at Yale University, Quinnipiac University, and the University of Connecticut.
