After graduating with Distinction from the University of Washington, Dr. Redick received his Doctor of Optometry degree with Honors from Indiana University School of Optometry. He gained extensive experience in diagnosis and full scope medical management of anterior and posterior ocular disease while training at the Veterans Affairs’ flagship medical center in The Villages, Florida. Dr. Redick has been honored as a Dean’s Scholar, as a recipient of Indiana University’s Faculty Fellowship, and as a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa honor fraternity. After speaking on his research at the American Academy of Optometry’s national meeting in Denver, Dr. Redick was recognized as a student fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. He has also delivered talks on his research at interdisciplinary conferences, and was recently published in the internationally renowned journal of Vision Research. Dr. Redick is passionate about community and public service. He volunteers in many public eye health care programs and has served in multiple international service mission trips. He was the Vice-President for the Indiana University branch of Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity and currently works with the Millionair club to provide free eye exams and glasses to those in need. As an active member of the American Optometric Association and the Optometric Physicians of Washington, Dr. Redick is continually striving to make quality eye care available to all. When not in clinic, Dr. Redick enjoys many outdoor activities such as skiing, backpacking, mountaineering, and rock climbing.
