A leader in his field, Dr. Redondo’s clinical interests include GPS surgery, hip resurfacing, adult reconstructive surgery; total joint replacement, sports injuries, sports medicine, trauma, and viscosupplementation. He holds privileges at Advocate Christ Medical Center, Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital, Silvercross Hospital, and AMITA Health Adventist Medical Center La Grange.

In his role as an academic, he serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Illinois College of Medicine.

Back in 1985, Dr. Rendondo graduated with his medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine. He then went on to perform his residency in orthopaedic surgery at Rush University Medical Center.

Offering over two decades of experience, he is board-certified in orthopaedic surgery and orthopaedic sports medicine by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS). The ABOS is an organization with the goal of establishing educational and professional standards for orthopaedic residents and surgeons, as well as evaluating the qualifications and competence of orthopaedic surgeons.

Prestigious professional organizations of which Dr. Redondo is a member of include the Chicago Medical Society and the Illinois Medical Association.
