Skilled in the field of diagnostic radiology, Dr. Sherman sees patients at Lenox Hill Radiology at East 66th Street. His specialties include ultrasounds, X-rays, PET scans, CT scans, and MRIs.

Lenox Hill Radiology (LHR) | East 66th Street (formerly Manhattan Diagnostic Radiology) is part of the Lenox Hill Radiology network of 25 outpatient medical imaging centers in the New York metropolitan area. LHR is a full service imaging center offering an array of imaging services, including 3D mammography and the latest technology in breast cancer screening.

Professionally, the doctor is affiliated with several hospitals throughout the State of New York, including Mercy Medical Center, North Shore University Hospital, South Nassau Communities Hospital, St. Francis Hospital Roslyn, and St. Joseph Hospital.

Regarding his educational background, Dr. Sherman earned his medical degree at Sidney Kimmel Medical College in 1982. He completed his internship in general surgery at The Mount Sinai Hospital in 1983, followed by residencies at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and New York-Presbyterian Hospital in 1984 and 1988, respectively. Finally, he completed a fellowship in neuroradiology at New York-Presbyterian Hospital in 1990.

With over four decades of experience in his field, Dr. Sherman is board-certified in diagnostic radiology and neuroradiology by the American Board of Radiology (ABR). The ABR is a not-for-profit physician-led organization that oversees the certification and ongoing professional development of specialists in diagnostic radiology, interventional radiology, radiation oncology, and medical physics.

Furthermore, he is board-certified in nuclear medicine by the American Board of Nuclear Medicine (ABNM), which certifies physicians as specialists in the practice of nuclear medicine. The ABNM is one of the 24 member boards of the American Board of Medical Specialties.

Diagnostic radiology refers to the field of medicine that uses non-invasive imaging scans to diagnose a patient. A diagnostic radiologist is a physician who uses imaging methodologies to diagnose and manage patients and provide therapeutic options.
