As a fellowship-trained pain management specialist, Dr. Choudhri is concerned with the prevention of pain, as well as the evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of patients experiencing pain. She is the Medical Director & Owner of Greater Houston / Greater Victoria Interventional Pain Management in Bellaire, Texas.
In practice since 2009, she has performed thousands of procedures and has treated thousands of patients. She and her staff employ a comprehensive approach to pain management and a full range of treatment options to ensure optimal outcome. They serve the entire community, young and old, as well as weekend warriors and professional athletes. “Our goal is to provide significant pain relief to patients while improving their quality of life. Our physicians and staff are trained in the latest advances in medical treatment and technology” as stated on their website.
Back in the early days of her academic career, Dr. Choudhri completed her undergraduate studies at Texas A&M University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. She obtained her medical degree from the Ross University School of Medicine in 2001. She then went on to complete one year of training in general surgery and a residency in physical medicine & rehabilitation at the State University of New York at Buffalo where she was elected Chief Resident. After completing her residency, she served as faculty at the State University of New York at Buffalo and was a staff physician within the Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at Erie County Medical Center.
Subsequently, Dr. Choudhri partnered with a Harvard pain fellow in an interventional pain management practice in the greater Washington D.C. area for two years. During her tenure there, she served as a Co-Director in the Department of Pain Management at Washington Adventist Hospital. She returned to Houston in 2009.
Partnering with her patients to live healthy and pain free lives, she is board-certified in pain medicine by the American Board of Pain Medicine, whose mission is to improve the quality of pain medicine. Likewise, she is board-certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, whose mission is to serve the public by improving the quality of patient care in physical medicine and rehabilitation.
To advance her professional efforts, Dr. Choudhri remains a member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Medical Association, and the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
