MPCP was established in 1996 when the doctors of two well-established primary care groups, Bay Area Primary Care Physicians and LMC Medical Group, merged their practices in Anne Arundel and Queen Anne’s Counties. As a fully-owned physician’s enterprise, MPCP has successfully positioned itself to provide strong leadership in the constantly changing health care environment and is one of the most progressive, comprehensive community-focused medical groups in the state of Maryland.

Dr. Ashbeck is also affiliated with Anne Arundel Medical Center and the University of Maryland Medical Center. 

Dr. Ashbeck is a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Family & Community Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland. Established in 1807, The University of Maryland School of Medicine is the fifth oldest medical school in the United States and the first in the country to institute a residency training program.

Dr. Ashbeck earned his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine. He then went on to complete his internship and residency in family medicine at Memorial Health – University Medical Center.
