Vinay Madan, MD, is a Board-Certified Vascular and Interventional Radiologist at Center for Varicose Veins in Wilton, Connecticut. Dr. Madan received his Doctor of Medicine from the State University of New York (SUNY) Downstate Medical Center in New York City​. He then completed his internship in internal medicine at NYU Winthrop Hospital in Mineola, New York, before completing his radiology residency at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, where he served as chief resident. Afterward, he completed his fellowship in vascular and interventional radiology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine at Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New Hyde Park, Long Island.

Board certified by the American Board of Radiology, Dr. Madan holds a certificate of added qualification by the American Board of Radiology and is a diplomate of the American Board of Lymphatic and Venous Medicine. He has been recognized several times throughout his career, having received the Vital’s Patient’s Choice Award and On-Time Doctors Award in 2016. He has also been on the Healthgrades Honor Roll and is an honored member of Trademark Who's Who Top Doctors.

Dedicated to staying up-to-date on the latest advancements in his field, Dr. Madan is a member of the American College of Radiology, Society of Interventional Radiology, American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine, American Medical Association, and Radiological Society of North America.

    Radiofrequency ablation is a very effective treatment for varicose veins and venous insufficiency. The closure rate for radiofrequency ablation(RFA) is approximately 96-98%.   • What can go wrong with radiofrequency ablation?

    Hi, There is very little risk with Radiofrequency Ablation for the treatment of varicose veins and venous insufficiency.
