Orange Regional Medical Center is a 383-bed hospital formed by the merger of Arden Hill Hospital and Horton Medical Center. It employs over 2,400 healthcare professionals, including orthopedic doctors who have leading expertise and experience in orthopedic surgeries and procedures – from joint replacement to complicated hand surgery.

Prior to his current endeavors, Dr. Toro served as Director of Fracture and Orthopedic Trauma Service at Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead, New York – a position he took in 2014. Dr. Toro is the Founder of RevOrtho LLC – a biotechnology company that focuses on developing new technologies to solve complex orthopedic challenges. Additionally, Dr. Toro is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is also a member of the Orthopaedic Trauma Association and the AO Foundation. 

Dr. Toro is board-certified in orthopaedic surgery by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS). The ABOS is an organization with the goal of establishing educational and professional standards for orthopedic residents and surgeons, as well as evaluating the qualifications and competence of orthopedic surgeons.

Dr. Toro earned his medical degree from the Pontifical Xavierian University in Bogotá, Colombia in 1997. He then went on to complete his residency at the same University, followed by his fellowship at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital in New York City, New York. 

Dr. Toro has received several awards throughout his line of work, including Compassionate Doctor Recognition from 2016 to 2018, On-Time Doctor Award  from 2016 to 2018, and Patients’ Choice Award from 2016 to 2018. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Toro is a reviewer for the Canadian Institutes of Health Research and an Associate Editor for The American Journal of Orthopedics.
