Get to know Urologist Dr. Jose L. Barriocanal, who serves patients in Seaford, Delaware. 

Dr. Barriocanal is a urologist serving Seaford and the surrounding communities. He is affiliated with Beebe Healthcare and Nanticoke Memorial Hospital. 

Beebe Healthcare serves the Sussex County community with a medical center located in beautiful, historic Lewes, Delaware, and outpatient locations in Georgetown, Millsboro, Milton, Millville, and Rehoboth Beach.

In regards to his education, Dr. Barriocanal earned his Medical Degree from the National University of Asuncion Faculty of Medical Sciences in 1966, in Paraguay. After relocating to the United States, he then completed an internship with Kenmore Mercy Hospital, in New York. Furthering his training he went on to complete a general surgery and urology residency at Drexel University Hahnemann University Hospital. 

To stay up to date in his field, Dr. Barriocanal has been inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is board-certified in urology by the American Board of Urology (ABU). The ABU acts for the benefit of the public by establishing and maintaining standards of certification for urologists, working with certified urologists to achieve lifelong learning to insure the delivery of high quality, safe and ethical urologic care. 

Urology is the medical specialty concerned with the urinary system of both males and females, and the genital organs in the male. As a urologist, Dr. Barriocanal specializes in diagnosing and treating diseases of the bladder, urethra, kidneys, penis, and prostate through both traditional and surgical means. 

With over 50 years of experience in the field, Dr. Barriocanal has treated thousands of patients in the United States and Paraguay.
