In 1986, Dr. McBride started Tri-County Orthopedics. Since then, he has enjoyed caring for and treating patients as a tried and trusted orthopedic surgeon at the Hand & Upper Extremity Center at Tri-County Orthopedics in Cedar Knolls, New Jersey.
Working exclusively with the hand, wrist, and elbow, the surgeons integrate all aspects of specialized care by collectively combining their knowledge, experience, and expertise as the foundation of the Hand & Upper Extremity Center at Tri-County Orthopedics. As such, Dr. McBride specializes in treating injuries and disorders of the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder and also has a special interest in sports medicine. He has extensive training in the latest procedures and techniques, combining both nonsurgical and surgical methods to help each patient return to a healthy state.
The doctor’s acclaimed career in medicine began after he earned his medical degree from the Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C. From there, he went on to complete his residency in orthopedic surgery at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School and finished his hand fellowship at the New York-Presbyterian Hospital Columbia Orthopedics.
With a commitment to continued education through attending courses, lecturing, writing, and actively learning the newest procedures and techniques, Dr. McBride strives to provide unique and individualized treatment plans for his patients. He believes in open communication and is committed to addressing all questions his patients have.
As a testament to his success, he is board-certified in orthopedic surgery with added qualification in orthopedic surgery of the hand by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery (ABOS). The ABOS is an organization with the goal of establishing educational and professional standards for orthopedic residents and surgeons, as well as evaluating the qualifications and competence of orthopedic surgeons.
Orthopedic surgery is the branch of surgery concerned with conditions involving the musculoskeletal system. Orthopedic surgeons use both surgical and non-surgical means to treat musculoskeletal trauma, spine diseases, sports injuries, degenerative diseases, infections, tumors, and congenital disorders.
