Originally from Hungary, Dr. Magassy received his medical training in the United States at the Creighton University School of Medicine in 1962. He completed his residency in surgery at MedStar Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C., and in plastic surgery at the University of California, San Francisco.

With excellence in cosmetic procedures for over 30 years, the doctor is board-certified in plastic surgery by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS). The mission of the ABPS is to promote safe, ethical, efficacious plastic surgery to the public by maintaining high standards for the education, examination, certification, and continuous certification of plastic surgeons as specialists and subspecialists.

Attracting patients from all over the world, Dr. Magassy is an attending surgeon at MedStar Washington Hospital Center and Fairfax Hospital, and holds privileges at Suburban Hospital and Sibley Hospital. He is also an Assistant Clinical Professor of Plastic Surgery at George Washington University Medical Center and Georgetown University.

Recognized as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), he is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the Lipoplasty Society of North America, and the American Society of Bariatric Plastic Surgeons.
