Dr. Haupt has a warm personality and cares deeply about his patients. He is a perfectionist and takes great pride in his work. “What I like about dentistry is working with my hands. There’s an art and science behind it” as stated by Dr. Haupt. 

Dr. Haupt earned a degree in religious studies from the University of Virginia. From there, he headed to South Carolina to work in the shipping export industry. He moved back home after about a year and decided to become a dentist. In 2010, he entered Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry in Richmond, where he graduated with his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. 

Dr. Haupt pursues a variety of continuing education courses and has expertise in a vast range of dental procedures and state-of-the-art techniques. Dr. Haupt volunteers at the Park Place Clinic in Norfolk. He is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Association, and the Tidewater Dental Association. Locally, he serves on the Advisory Board for the Park Place Clinic and the Executive Committee of the Tidewater Dental Association.

Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. As a general & cosmetic dentist, Dr. Haupt has the skills needed to complete an array of procedures that are both simple or complex in nature.

Dr. Haupt’s personal motto is “speak only well of others and you will never have to whisper.” The greatest obstacle he faces is obtaining perfection. What Dr. Haupt loves most about the people he works with and volunteers with is their kindness, helpfulness, and creation of a sense of family. In his spare time, Dr. Haupt enjoys playing golf and tennis, as well as relaxing on the beach. His favorite movie is Top Gun. His comfort food is fried chicken and mac & cheese.
