Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center is a 75-bed hospital in Grayson County, Kentucky. Located between Rough River Lake and Nolin River Lake, it serves over 115,000 people living in six counties. The mission of the hospital states “Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center exists to heal the sick, relieve pain and suffering, and improve the quality of life for the people we serve.”

Back in 1965, Dr. Miller graduated with his medical degree from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto. He then went on to perform his residency in general surgery at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center in 1973.

Following his training, the doctor attained board certification in general surgery through the American Board of Surgery (ABS). The ABS is an independent, non-profit organization located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, founded for the purpose of certifying surgeons who have met a defined standard of education, training, and knowledge.

Holding fellowship status, Dr. Miller is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS) and a Fellow of the Royal Colleges of Surgeons (FRCS).

General surgery is a surgical specialty that focuses on abdominal contents including the esophagus, stomach, small bowel, colon, liver, pancreas, gallbladder, appendix and bile ducts, and often the thyroid gland. A general surgeon performs a wide range of abdominal surgeries for many forms of intestinal and abdominal wall neoplasms, gallbladder disease, gastric and pancreatic disease.
