Get to know General and Cosmetic Dentist Dr. Kristin F. Rushing, who serves patients in Nashville, Tennessee. 

With a passion for healthy mouths, Dr. Rushing provides quality dentistry with a caring touch. Since 2006, she has been serving patients’ dental needs at her private practice, Nashville Smile Team in Nashville, Tennessee. There, she and her entire staff are committed to minimally invasive, gentle dentistry in a great environment. “We are a South Nashville dental office devoted to restoring and enhancing the natural beauty of your smile using conservative, state-of-the-art procedures that will result in beautiful, healthy and lasting smiles!” as stated on their website. 

Although she enjoys all aspects of general practice, Dr. Rushing has a special interest in helping patients improve their smiles’ appearance and function with cosmetic and implant services. She is an active member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Tennessee Dental Association, the Nashville Dental Society, and the Millennium Study Club. One of her highest honors has been being selected as a finalist in several Toast of Music City Readers Choice Awards for Best Dentist.

After earning her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Middle Tennessee State University, she went on to obtain her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis. She has kept up to date on many continuing education courses, ensuring that her patients receive the most comprehensive and advanced care.  

Committed to stay on the cutting edge of advancements in dentistry, Dr. Rushing has completed sedation training with the Dental Organization of Conscious Sedation and comprehensive training with the Midwest Implant Institute. Additionally, she completed orthodontic training in order to provide comprehensive, general, orthodontic, sedation, and implant services to the families of South Nashville.

Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. As a general and cosmetic dentist, Dr. Rushing has the skills necessary to complete an array of procedures that are both simple or complex in nature. 

Pertaining to her personal life, she met her husband, Lewis Williams, while in dental school and has enjoyed wedded bliss since 2006.  Lewis is a practicing attorney in Nashville. The couple has two children, John and Abby, as well as two fur babies, Duke and Ellie.

With a focus on the public good, Dr. Rushing is a proud supporter of Interfaith Dental Clinic, Crieve Hall Baseball league, the Andrew Jackson Police Youth Camp, as well as Operation Gratitude.
