Dr. Barish is a board-certified ophthalmologist and cornea specialist at Palm Beach Eye Center in Lake Worth, Florida. He is known for using the latest techniques and state-of-the-art technologies to complete laser-assisted cataract surgery and bladeless LASIK and refractive surgery.

Back in the early days of his academic career, Dr. Barish graduated with his medical degree from the Universidad Autónoma De Guadalajara Facultad De Medicina in 1987. He then completed a 5th Pathway Certificate at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in 1988, an internship in internal medicine at Mount Sinai School of Medicine at Elmhurst in 1989, a residency in internal medicine at Long Island Jewish Medical Center in 1991, and a pre-residency fellowship at Tufts University- New England Eye Center in 1992. This was followed by a residency in ophthalmology at Interfaith Medical Center in 1996 and a fellowship in cornea and external disease under the supervision of Dr. James Aquavella, a world-renowned ophthalmology specialist, at the University of Rochester in 1997.

In addition to being a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, he is board-certified in ophthalmology by the American Board of Ophthalmology (ABO). The ABO is an independent, non-profit organization responsible for certifying ophthalmologists in the United States of America. 

Licensed to practice medicine in Florida, Dr. Barish is affiliated with Delray Medical Center, JFK Medical Center – Florida, Bethesda Hospital East, and West Boca Medical Center.
