Farrar Duro is an acupuncturist practicing in Southwest Ranches, FL. Dr. Duro evaluates and treats patients based on the concepts of oriental medicine. Acupuncturists complete their evaluations by getting a patient history and looking at and touching the body. Then, they place very fine acupuncture needles into specific points on the body. Stimulating these points and nerves is how Dr. Duro treats the patient's condition. Many of the bodys systems respond to acupuncture, and it can treat physical pain as well as emotional stress.

Acupuncture is a form of alternative medicine and a key component of traditional Chinese medicine in which thin needles are inserted into the body. The practice is also used to maintain general health. Acupuncturists treat a variety of physical and psychological issues like internal medicine hypertension or anxiety. “My patients have been my greatest teachers and have inspired me to reach out to other women who might not have the support they need to do the previously unthinkable…take back control of their bodies without disguising their conditions with medications.” as stated by Farrar.
